Filling head for centre valves

The pneumatically controlled filling head AFC is an independent unit designed for operation with a filling machine or an evacuation unit.

The AFC is fully automatic and is used for safe and accurate filling/evacuation of LPG cylinders with centre valves. It is mounted on the machine (e.g. a UFM filling machine) with an automatic suspension unit with a pneumatic cylinder.

The filling head connection is performed in two steps. First, the filling head is lowered and pressed onto the top surface of the cylinder valve. The second step is moving a pin forward, allowing LPG to flow through the filling head and also opening the cylinder valve so that LPG can flow through it.

The filling head disconnection is also performed in two steps. First, moving the pin backwards, stopping the LPG flow through both the filling head and cylinder valve. The second step is the filling head disconnection from the top surface of the cylinder valve.
